Florida Ana Madrina Jet Ski - Pre-Ride Safety Course

Welcome to Florida Ana Madrina Jet Ski Excursions! 🌊

Your safety is our top priority. This quick course covers the most important rules and procedures you **must** understand before your ride. Reviewing this information is mandatory for all renters and passengers.

Section 1: Before You Arrive

Preparation is Key for a Great Day!

  • Complete Required Viewing: You MUST review all safety videos on our website before you arrive. Visit www.floridaanamadrinajetski.com to watch them now.
  • Arrive Early: Please arrive **30 minutes before** your scheduled rental time to allow for check-in and the mandatory in-person safety briefing.
  • Bring Proper Documents: All operators must bring a valid State-issued ID or Passport AND a Florida Boater Safety Education ID Card.
  • Check the Weather: Be aware of the local forecast. Rentals may be canceled or rescheduled for safety reasons due to weather.

Section 2: Rider Requirements & Rules

Who Can Ride and How to Ride Safely.

  • Age to Operate: You must be **21 or older** to rent and operate a PWC.
  • Passengers: With parent/guardian consent and presence, individuals aged 18–20 may ride as passengers.
  • Health Declaration: You must be in good physical condition. Do not ride if you have heart conditions, epilepsy, dizziness, or other medical issues that could impair your ability.
  • Weight & Capacity: A maximum of **2 riders** are allowed per Jet Ski. The combined weight must not exceed the PWC's limit.
  • ZERO Tolerance: Absolutely **no reckless operation** or riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Your rental will be terminated immediately without a refund.
  • Stay in Bounds: You must remain within the designated riding zones at all times.
Assumption of Risk: Remember, operating a PWC involves inherent risks, including injury, collision, and drowning. By renting from us, you voluntarily accept full responsibility for all risks.

Section 3: Emergency Procedures

What to Do if You Fall Overboard.

Falling off is possible, but staying calm is essential. Your life vest will keep you afloat.

  1. Remain Calm: Do not panic. Your USCG-approved life vest will keep you afloat.
  2. Approach from the Rear: Always approach the PWC from the back (stern) to avoid injury.
  3. Use the Re-boarding Step: Carefully use the handle and step on the back of the PWC to pull yourself up.
  4. Signal for Help: If you are unable to re-board, stay with the PWC and use your whistle or raise your arms to signal for assistance.

Section 4: Special Notice for Non-Swimmers

⚠️ **HIGH RISK ACKNOWLEDGMENT** ⚠️

If you cannot swim, you must understand that participating in this activity is extremely dangerous. A life vest reduces but does not eliminate the risk of drowning. We require non-swimmers to sign an additional waiver acknowledging this high risk.

For your safety, we **strongly advise** that all non-swimmers are accompanied by a capable swimming buddy over the age of 21 on the same PWC.

By proceeding with your rental, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by all the terms, conditions, and safety rules outlined here and in the full waiver agreement.
